Let's connect!!
President's Report

Hello fellow ASCM Fox Valley Forum members!
As I type this letter, I am anxiously awaiting our February event at 5K Fibres. I had a sneak preview this past week when I visited to lock down the final details of the tour. I was really impressed by the facility and the things the folks there are working on. I can’t wait for our members to see it!
Our March event is going to be fully virtual! Mike Schwersenska, CTP will be joining us that evening. Mike is the General Manager of Brakebush Transportation, Inc. and oversees all outbound finished goods and inbound raw materials. Brakebush, for any who don’t know, has been a U.S. family owned and operated processor of chicken products since 1925. Perhaps your Super Bowl wings came from Brakebush!
Mike is active in the National Private Truck Council (NPTC) and earned his CTP (Certified Transportation Professional) from that organization in 2013. Mike is going to share with us how Brakebush leverages its private fleet to save costs and improve service. Mighty important when dealing with perishable products.
Click here to register! Please be sure to register by the midnight Sunday, March 17th deadline!
IMPORTANT!!
Our nomination committee is hard at work. This committee is crucial to our Forum. Their
role is to connect with members of the Forum to identify folks interested in serving as
volunteer leaders of the Forum. Serving as a volunteer leader is a great way to get involved in the future of this organization. I hope you will consider nominating yourself or accepting a nomination made by another member. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out. I am happy to answer any questions.
ELECTION TIME IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! No, not that election……..FORUM ELECTIONS! I promise you won’t see any political ads on TV but the elections are still very important. Elections will open on Friday, March 29th for a period of 10 days. More information on this year’s election will be coming in future issues of The Beacon.
See you online on March 19th!

With a CPIM certification, you will develop the competencies they need to successfully work across all functions of the supply chain. In addition, you'll have the knowledge to better respond to supply disruptions, demand variations, and manage supply chain risk.

CSCP UPDATES

Why Seek the CSCP Designation?
